For many years I have had this nagging suspicion that many, many more people could achieve unbelievable fulfillment in life, if they were only to discover how to activate the catalysts, and neutralize the poisons, that determine whether they 1. eek out an squalid existence at survival level or 2. soar to the heights of their full potential.
I believe that the pick-up artist community, or the so-called seduction community, has stumbled upon some of the fundamental answers to this conundrum.
- What keeps your life in a rut?
- How can you blast out of a rut and not land in another?
- How can you bust loose from the everyday constraints of time, people and money?
- What is confidence?
- What is really happening to you when you "catch the wave" in life?
- Is the way to success with family, friends, lovers and money a process of gradual growth or a series of quantum leaps?
In relatively simple dynamic systems, like the balance between predator and prey, populations can fluctuate wildly, even oscillate between extremes.
In other dynamic systems, a series of stable levels become apparent, with oscillations and even chaotic flipping between levels.

It only takes a few simple processes, that affect each other and build on each other in simple ways, to yield some incredibly complex behavior.
What does this imply for social dynamic systems? For your state of mind? For your drive and energy in life? For your sex life? For your social circle? For your happiness?
Can certain components of your mind, your fears and your negative emotions, be switched on or off? Do they act as dynamical poisons that can keep you in a discouraged state of mind? Can these poisons be neutralized, or switched off at will? What happens then?
On the other hand, can certain components of your mind, such as your sex drive and your survival instinct, be switched on or off? Might they act as dynamical catalysts to lift your spirits and make you feel like you are the King? Can these catalysts be activated or shut down at will?
How are the catalysts and poisons interrelated?
Do people out there use these kinds of phenomena to manipulate their peers? To what extent?

Hi Dr. Doug
These things that you ponder are indeed universal questions that arise along various points in a person's path through life.
I must, however, point out what they are to me: JOB SECURITY!
As a mental health therapist, these must be the most common things I hear--whether in counseling or personal situations.
I enjoy reading your thoughts and perspectives, and plan on returning soon.
